Hi all.
I got my Gen II yesterday and rooted (Z4),replaced build.prop, flashed CRM to /restore via ADB as per instructions http://scrolltabletforum.co.uk/site/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=127 intending to try one of the new builds.
On restarting, the keypresses for maintenance mode only seem to hang the device.
I've tried various combinations of Power and Vol+, including the way listed on SO site (Hold Vol+ for 5 seconds, then hold power). If the buttons haven't been released when the Scroll screen brightens it will freeze there until restarted.
I believe CRM is doing something, as a fastboot device shows as connecting to the PC.


Has anyone else had this problem with an SGII and CRM?
Do I need a different version of CRM?
Could someone linke me to a dump of the original recovery image?
Any help would be much appreciated

Power off the Device - Hold in the Volume up key, keep holding it in and press power until the scroll logo appears, let go of power but continue to hold volume up until ClockWorkMod appears, then let go of volume up

Could this be a problem with the newer Scrolls? I had that problem with Scroll v1.02 and this is the third separate case where there is this sort of issue....

We began to suspect that at about 2:30 this morning

Without having 1.02 on my scroll its impossible to test, but yes 1.02 seems much more locked down that previous FW's

I dont think its 1.02 DJ_Steve installd it and remove it with clockwork remember?
Sounds like they changed something else but without having one its kinda hard to test stuff out... someone might be able to get you a stock revcovery image from another 1.02 to get back to for now.

Yea same thing happened to me when trying to install clockwork on a 1.02S fw, i've managed to get mine swapped but won't be installing clockwork anytime soon, i'll make a backup of my recovery partition and try to post it tonight.

From what i can see at the moment, anybody who has updated to 1.02 From earlier versions is fine.
Anybody who had a 1.02S(Stock) Firmware appears to be unable to get into recovery mode after installing clockworkmod, not sure if it could be something in the bootloader maybe it is checking the crc of the recovery partition.

When you say GEN II - what do you mean? the 7" with FW 1.02 or the new 8" ?

Just made this of my 102S recovery partition, just did a dd of my mtd6 partition, if there is a better way of doing it without installing clockworkmod let me know, no promises this will help it could brick your tablet.
