Hi enjoying the scroll when i grow a pair i might root it ! when i switch on my scroll after a few minutes all the app icons dissapear from all 3 home pages
i can still access the apps from the pull out drawer they come back if i re-boot but go again after few minutes
any help would be great

No need to rush into rooting, only do it, if you want to and have the need to do so.

As for the short cuts going, that is a new issue. Are you using the default homepage app? Or changed it for another like Launcher pro, etc ?

i had this exact issue with firmware shown in my signature.

i fixed it by installing launcher pro, but you can get the icons back by going to applications in settings and forcing stop.

i seem to have cured it for now? deleted a couple of 3d games that didnt work im using the default homepage

was running low on memory and even the keyboard was lagging so maybe this was the problem.
is there any way of changing the memory partition to free up more space for apps as we've got the sd card option for storage?

I dont believe there is, no. When a proper version of 2.2 is up and running this may change though...

all my icons have disapeared again. switched on scrcoll went to the forum using opera mini and when i closed that all the icons where gone went to advaned task killer and there was lots of apps running killed them all but still no icons?

If the icons on the home screen are gone, just reboot the scroll usually fixes it.

Either that, or you have opened Home with a different Launcher - goto Settings > Applications > Manage applications > reset defaults on MarketLauncher > press Home key and choose the one you were using before

icons were back did not touch an thing on scroll for five minutes went to advanced task killer and there was 8 apps running skype, wifi manager, rom manager, app centre(storage options gateway to the Market)and a few others
any idea whats opening these apps??

Android opens them itself, I hate that feature, but you can download an app from the market to stop them
