too many problems...

Hi
Ok either i have a faulty scroll.. or im awful at this tech stuff.

Firstly, i can put videos onto my scroll (sdcard) and although they are from the same download and they are the same type of file only some of them play?

I cant link it to a google account, keeps showing errors etc..

I tried that sdk manager market fix download thing that was posted on here, but again more errors..

and I cant get any apps on there either..

Im assuming its me, but i thought i was ok with these sorts of things.

Any help would be highly appreciated!! Im getting frustrated!

Don't panic! :D

First of all it would help us to know what firmware version your scroll is running. You'll find it in the settings menu at the bottom.

When you find that out, please put it in your signature on your profile so it appears like mine does (look below). Then we can guide you in the right direction.

Exactly what errors are you getting and when?

although videos from the "same download" may have the same extension (.mp4 for example) they may have been recorded with different codec settings (in effect, different internal parameters) which the default Scroll player doesn't like.

Thanks for your replies!!!

Firmware version is v1.02

I have tried downloading apps from the android market. i have created a google account, can sign into it fine, it shows in my 'account and sync' menu. sync is on and background data but when i sign in on my laptop it says there are no devices on this account. i have tried downloading from my scroll but i press install and nothing happens.
Not sure what else to do..

thanks for the info on codec settings but how can i change them? or cant i? you said default scroll player? should i download a new one?

Appreciate you help greatly! :)
