Automatically start app on boot

Hello there,

Hope this hasn't been covered already; I certainly haven't been able to find anything.

I would like to find a way of starting an app as soon as my tablet is switched on. I was hoping this could be done with a script or something rather than downloading a specific app to carry out this function(not that I can find one that does it!). I see a lot of information about killing apps at boot, but not about starting them.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Matt.

Hi Purps...

This is an interesting one, to which I dont have the answer im afraid. I have various apps on my scroll that choose to start themselves when the scroll is booted, I would presume there is either a startup script to which an entry is added when a prog requires it.

Perhaps one of the android devs can throw some light on this?

I've never programmed for Android (or any Java), but I've done so in php and tcl. I'll download an SDK and see if I can make you something.
