On screen keyboard

Does anyone know how to turn off the predictive text replacement within the standard on screen Android keyboard? For example when I'm tapping in text using a stylus for a posting on this forum, I find it really irritating that it defaults to replacing "and" with "Android", requiring an extra tap or two to cancel it.

I've also found that the only time my Scroll has ever crashed is a couple of time when I've been using the on screen keyboard and tapping faster than it responds. It locks with the last letter highlighted for a few seconds and then reboots back to the Android logo, not a full reboot, losing any text I've typed in. Slowing my tapping pace has prevented a recurrence. Anyone else experienced this?

Many thanks

Turn off predictive text:
Menu hard button - settings - language and keyboard settings - android keyboard - word suggestion settings. Untick "Quick fixes" and the other two options below it should be greyed out. If not, untick the lower two first then quick-fixes.

Try it with prediction turned off - should cure the problem.

Many thanks. Don't know how many times I've trawled throught the Settings for this and other things and never noticed it! Definitely a Homer Simpson "D'oh!" moment!!!
