Getting Root on your Scroll

downloaded the zip file, the first batch file rebooted the system and stayed at the white triangle with exclamtion mark and android... Then ran the second and the tablet appears to do nothing and the windows command prompt simply states <waiting for device>

hmm... the first batch file should reboot you into recovery mode. the second should flash the update.
check control panel. is there an unknown device?

May I just step in here and point something out, for the benefit of our board members and any guests visiting. It may be obvious but its worth saying:

Please ensure that you have no other Android devices plugged into your computer while you are running these batch scripts!

Or, ensure that you edit the batch files to include the Scroll's serial number in the ADB command.

How do i a.) determine the serial number, and 2.) edit the batch file to include the serial number?

hmm and the second script does nothing you say?
try just running this command from a cmd window in the folder
fastboot-windows.exe flash recovery recovery-clockwork-scroll.img

Well technically, they should be different from Scroll to Scroll. However, mine is 0123456789ABCDEF! So i'm guessing they are all the same.
If you do:

adb devices

It should give you the serial number.

If you've only got one Android device plugged in, the ADB command will use this by default.

hmm kinda a pain to add that to teh script at this point as it was only for testing anyway.

Strictly speaking, it would be pointless you adding it anyway, as everyone's serial number should be different, so each person would need to customize the script themselves.

No I could have the script run teh command and output it to a file. parse that file and use it as input for teh command... but fuck it lol
