Now i have renamed TelephonyProvider.apk to old.

Everything seems to work fine but the wi fi widget has stopped responding on the homescreen. I have reapplied this to the homescreen and now its fine, how odd.

Gmail, yahoo, browser etc still fine

Well, i'm trying to put together an update.zip file that should handle the removing of the phone function apks - you can include that if you want. Should be sorted tomorrow.

Cant fine a voicedialer APK, I assume that this is an unsupported feature on android 2.1?

Stability seems fine at the moment, currently charging the scroll to see how long it will last.

I have a working update.zip thanks :D there was one in the xda thread about another brand of tablet. The Problem is we dont know what version (if any) of clockworkmod recovery works. Someone needs to be the first to try them out and see what works.

There's a file around called nanopad.recovery.img, which I pushed to my Scroll using the fastboot commands - I'm not at my laptop at the moment but I'll get it to you tomorrow, this gave me a working clockworkmod.

Right that's my scroll rooted good bye warranty.
Just renaming the phone apk's to hopefully improve battery life.
Try installing LCD Density Changer from XDA lets you change the screen density a lot like a zoom function. Currently got mine just a tad larger than stock helps with the old eyes

Fantastic this is what we need for device backup before the modding begins :-)
