Flash 10.1 Scroll 2.1

I've seen quite a few mentions about the difficulties of running Flash on the Scroll 2.1.

There is an app (flash_for_21.apk) that allows you to run Flash 10.1 on the Scroll. I have installed this and it seems to work quite well.

Is there a problem that I haven't noticed yet?

Yes, you don't have flash... simple as that... flashlite is the only thing that works (with upto flash v8 based sites/apps)

I tried that but it didn't work. What did you get it work with?

It won't have been "working", it installs using the methods, but doesn't register itself as a useable plugin for the browser(s) so you never see any flash content.
The browser skyfire is a "proxy" for flash-based sites, the sf server renders the flash and sends it in a useable format (S..l..o..w..l..y) to your device and doesn't work with 100% of sites
Flash lite runs respectably, but only for content developed in flash upto v8 (So older websites that don't use AS3.0 scripting or flash 9/10) and still bombs out occasionally (As it's developed slowly)... It may eventually be updated enough to run flash 9 content, hell, even v10 but I wouldn't expect miracles from it as flash requires more and more cpu/gpu as it adds in 3D etc.

Thanks very much for that detailed explanation! I have tried Skyfire and that is a waste of time on the Scroll and my Windows smartphone.

I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of an appropriate link for a download of the correct version of flash lite to give it a try ;) Please :D

I installed the OP version of flash just for kicks, and visited the Sky Sports site, which had "A Sort of" flash advert changing between still pictures, not sure what it was... HTML5 maybe ?
