ADW Launcher

I have tested many launchers in my search to improve on the standard home launcher. I would like to give a brief overview on ADW Launcher, which is now my choice launcher.

The first improvement over the standard is five desktop screens as opposed to the three. These can be navigated either by swipe or as I now prefer page back and forward. You can also when viewing a desktop press HOME, this expands to show all five desktops in a mini view. You can then press the desktop you wish to jump to, very nice.

There is simple dock that remains throughout all five screens. You can add two apps of your choice to the dock. The centre of the dock can be customised to your choice I.e.. open apps installed.

Icons are added to desktop with ease. Simply press and hold down in the desktop area and you are presented with various options I.e.. applications, widgets etc.. once the icon is added to the desktop you can edit the name, resize the widget by pressing and holding the icon.

On a positive note the Scroll appears slicker when selecting between desktops. It is very stable with no issues at all to report at present.

This is one of the best apps to improve my stock 2.1 Resistive 7" Scroll. I hope you find it useful too.

Cheers
Andy

Good review, I use ADW Launcher EX (paid version) and it can do even more. I use it on my GT-I5800 phone and Scroll.
