Lip Sync problems with video streaming or video playback from SD card has been a problem. I've tried many conitations with VLC Direct being the only one that is in sync.

You can configure for VLC on your PC to load on startup.
Create a shortcut from VLC.exe to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Open the shortcut properties and change the target to "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -I http
