Plugging a USB Flash drive into the scroll

Postby Detection » January 10th, 2011, 11:54 pm

Not sure which formats this will work with, I assume FAT32 will also work, but I had prepared a flash drive with Ubuntu 10.10 on it, ready to install from USB on my PC, and thought I would plug it into the USB HOST port of the scroll with the little USB adapter extension lead, and it worked.

It mounts its as a SCSI drive, and I could explore it through a file explorer through: /scsi

So there we have another way to move things to and from the scroll

I wonder what else will work via USB HOST

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!
