Quite sure I am now holding a pretty, scroll excel paperweight, but thought I'd ask anyway.

I just followed the procedures above (doublechecking everything and thought I'd got it right) but I am now stuck in a boot loop.

Is there anything that can be done to resolve this???

Thanks for your time.

You have pushed a build.prop that is not compatible with the Excel (hence the boot-loop) - This is the wrong 'How To' - You need to push back your original build.prop to fix this.

Damn i'm stupid,

another quick question if i may, how can I push back the build.prop when stuck in bootloop, or can i apply an sdcard:update.zip and if so does anyone know where I can find an update.zip for the scroll excel?

Again, thanks for your time.

No update.zips for the Excel AFAIK - If you had debugging enabled (via the setting menu) on the Excel, you can use ADB to push the build.prop back. Not sure what you can do if you can not connect via ADB - you may well have a brick.

Copy the original build.prop file into the same directory as your adb executable.
Open a cmd window (Hold shift and right click to open a command prompt targeted at the current window)
Type in the following commands:

Code: Select all
adb remount
adb push build.prop /system/build.prop
adb reboot
