I'm not sure what was wrong with my setup, but I struggled in vain to get a couple of Windows 7 machines, one 32 bit and one 64 bit to install the supplied drivers to use adb.

In the end I decided to try from a Linux box, since adb "just worked" with the Scroll in the Linux Android
SDK, and this went through without problems.

Briefly, what you need:

Linux Android SDK (running on Ubuntu 10.10 in my case)
A Linux copy of fastboot
recovery-clockwork-scroll.img from the first post

To do the deed:

- plug the Scroll in with USB debugging enabled
- "adb reboot bootloader" will take you to the Scroll splash screen
- "fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-scroll.img" will install the clockworkmod recovery
- "fastboot reboot" reboots back to Android

Basically, I'm just running the Linux versions of the commands in the two Windows batch files by hand to install clockworkmod.

The reason I didnt write a how to for linux/osx is its so easy without having to touch the drivers :)

Tried the "Easy" route and no joy, I get a message saying, and I quote "error opening /sdcard/recovery-clockwork-scroll.img no file or directory" I have downloaded and extracted the zip file and it is copied to my SD card route directory. I can't actually see a file called recovery-scroll.img in the extracted folder so maybe I am just thick and have done something wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
