Tried your above and all is well until I get the list of devices up in the device list, unfortunately Google Inc is not an option. I have my scroll pluged in to the mains and connected to the PC, i see the Andriod Eclair device in the listing and that is what I am trying to update the driver for. No joy, I have tried this on both my Win 7 64 bit desktop and my Vista 32 bit laptop and it is exactly the same on both. No Google inc listed at all.

What screen are you seeing Android Eclair on, The first screen in DEVICE MANAGER or whern you get to part 9 of my how to?

If its in Device manager your in the wrong place, its several stages further on into the proccess. Look down the list once it has filled up and it should be there.

Stevee

I see Android Eclair at step 4 with an exclaimation mark beside it. I right click the Android Eclair and select update driver software and then follow the steps exactly as you describe and end up at step 9 but with no Google Inc listed in the devices on the left hand panel of the box that fills with the various devices on the PC. There are lots of other things in there, but no Google Inc I am afraid.

Cheers

Hmmm that's strange, is there anything else in the list like just GOOGLE or ANDROID? I know there is a lot of devices to list through. Can't work out why it should be different on your PC with the same operating system.
I will have a tinker and see if I can work out what is happening.

No, nothing referring to either Google or Android in there either.

Really strange and not a little anoying, especially as I have gone through Charlies procedure just now, followed it letter for letter and my system still wont't find the drivers. I also tried Warpedflash's terminal emulator method and that does not work for me either.

Yep, followed his guide, edited the android_winsub.inf to the hardware id from device driver as per his guide, checked, double and triple checked the strings to make sure I had typed it correctly and at the end of it nada.
