any help on my post is welcome , I am stuck with a build.prop.old in my system folder and no longer have root , can someone point me in the right direction on how to fix this , I have tried using super manager and it says i dont have root , i can not use zroot anymore as it will not install , neither will terminal emulator , I have tried to install the android SDK but it says i need the java SDK which I have installed but does not seem to work when I try and install the android sdk , i have tried to use the update.zip file using the restore function but that doesent work either, does anyone have an official update.zip from storage solutions .

No, there is not one -

As far as i can see to fix this you need ADB working so you can connect to the scroll and push the correct build.prop file over. (i am not the right person to ask, about ADB)

@Warpedflash

build.prop v3.
app: mythmote.
in landscape mode the media tab doesn't display any buttons, both navigation and numbers tabs display correctly. media displays correctly in portrait mode.

for testing purposes: if you dont use mythtv you can still install and view the display within the app, it just won't be able to connect.

thanks for all the work you've done so far

Hey mac the problem you are having will occur when the screen density is changed (which this build.prop does) The only fix is to change teh density back. If people want me to I will make 2 of these one original density and one set to teh new one.

originally mythmote worked correctly after i had renamed the phone, mms, telephony apks, but before i installed clockwork-recovery .. weirdly it doesn't matter now whether i change the screen density or revert to the the original build.prop file, it doesn't display the media tab contents in landscape mode (portrait works fine but isn't ideal for my usage). i'll be buying another scroll soon anyway so i'll leave it till then to investigate more.
just glad i'm already familiar with linux ;)

oh really? if you have swapped teh density back and rebooted and the problem still exists it cant be teh build.prop affecting it...

agreed, but the only other thing i've changed, since mythmote worked correctly, is adding the clockwork-recovery image, and i couldn't see that being the cause. i'll investigate it more when i get the new scroll.

you need your scroll rooted and use a file explorer like super manager or root explorer.

other file explorer's like asto won't let u do what u are trying (even if u have rooted)
