I am not sure this has been highlighted previously but I found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155538) and after a few tries finally got full flash player working smoothly on my stock gingerbread ROM
This now partially works on the current CM7 GB 2.3.5 Rom.
HOW TO:
1. Requirements:
- Rooted scroll
- Super manager (free on market or search google)
- Dolphin browser HD (free on market)
- Flash Player for ARM V6 processors ( download from https://sites.google.com/site/androidcampus911/flash_player10.1armv6android.apk?attredirects=0&d=1)
2. Installation
A. Ensure you have a full ROM back up via Clockwork Recovery (See http://scrolltabletforum.co.uk/site/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1558 for how to)
B. Install both Super manager and Dolphin Browser HD
C. Open Super Manager
i. tap Settings and enable root function
ii. Open File Explorer and navigate to where you stored your downloaded Adobe flash player
iii. select it and tap the copy option at the bottom ie image with 2 pages (alternatively, long press and select copy)
iv. navigate to the root of your device by tapping the 'Back up level folder' at the top; select 'R/W' when the menu pops up
v. Open the Systems > Apps folder. Paste the Adobe Flash by tapping the paste option at the bottom (clipboard image)
vi. Now select the adobe flash by ticking the box infront, then fix permission bt tapping the permissions botton at the botom (image with the 777 mark); ensure all squares are ticked.
(Note: For CM7, you need to now tap it and install the flash player)
vii. Close Super manager and reboot your device.
C. Open Dolphin Browser and try some tube sites. Videos play very smoothly using the stock video gallery player on stock Rom!! For CM7, only some sites play
If it works for you, post it here please.
Cheers.
