Getting the Best from your Scroll

The Android Pit website offers you news and reviews of the latest Android apps, forums where you can see what other Android users are using, and list of the most popular apps available for Android.

Android Pit also offer an app called App Centre which you can install on your Scroll. Using the Android Pit app you can access apps from some of the top developers producing paid for and FREE apps.

To download Android Pit simply point the browser on your Scroll to http://www.androidpit.com and choose to install app centre. Once the app has downloaded you can then simply follow the instructions to install. This will give you access to a great range of apps from the App Centre on your Scroll.

Slide Me
Slide ME is a website which offers forums, reviews and news on apps for a number of hand held devices. A range of apps is available which will enhance your Scroll's functionality.

Simply go to http://slideme.org and download SAM (SlideME Application Manager) to your Scroll. Follow the instructions to install the app. Once Slide ME is installed you will have access to even more apps for you Scroll.

Android Gear
Android Gear is a website from which you can download a variety of great apps and games for Android devices.

You can download apps from http://www.androidgear.com to your computer and then copy them to your Scroll via USB. Then all you need to do is use the App Installer which comes with the Scroll do activate your new apps.

Problem is, the good apps on those sites are only links, they actually redirect you to the market for a lot of them which is useless for "Vault 1.01" owners ;)

Some apps work - but as I am beginning to find out, not many good ones

Need to find a fix for this market issue on 1.01

Well I have all the google apps on my scroll just have the problem that the offical 2.1 apps required a cell phone connection for your google account to sync... I will work on this a bit more this evening...

Although I now have a working Market, I managed to install most of my apps by going to the website links and doing a manual install. Even some paid apps let you install this way as they usualy send an email with a link to the key installer

I use app planet more than anything else :) that and rapid download :). I was going to ask as any one got it to work with a 3G dongle at all. Also does any one know if there is any Gprs in the unit , Just I read that some one has been playing around with the idea of installing one.

apparently some people have got the 3g dongles to work through vpn im not sure thou
