If it was Orange it would have been fifteen quid with the correct code. If it was anyone else it would have been a tenner and it would not have been unlocked correctly (ie by partial flashing). The latter method does not work for long (trust me I know - I spend a lot of time reflashing handsets that your local market trader claims are unlocked correctly when they are not - all they do is reflash part of the firmware - this fails every time, period). The only safe way is to contact your provider and get the code.
If this is what you have done please pm me your invoice number for the unlock code and ill sort it out.

Seriously it does work very well. I am on my third one due to accidentally dropping the first down the toilet and the second in the garden pond. I can confirm that blackberries object to over-watering.
