They give the impression of being a good company and do have some OK points, but it's the after service support/firmware which really lets them down. If they hired one person - even part time - and paid them maybe £10k a year then they could have great firmware for nearly all of their tablets.

I have sent them support emails before, complaint emails, left comments on the blogs and asked on Facebook - they either don't bother replying, delete my comments or moderate my facebook ones so only the positive comments are left. I think that says it all really.

If anyone is reading this and considering buying a Scroll tablet then think twice. You will get OK hardware and if something goes wrong with it they might fix it BUT don't expect any patches or much after sales support. It seems they only have one person who works in the Support department and I am 99.9% sure they play office sound effects in the background to give the impression of having more staff (I have actually compared the background noise on 3 different calls and each time it's the same, right down to the individual noises).
Cheers,

OK @TC I stand corrected as they have not deleted it then, but instead they have not approved it (yet) :lol:

I think they might be paying someone 10K a year already as that would explain the issues & poor support, if you want quality support and dev's it would be a lot more than 10K per annum for even part time.

lol, I'm a UI developer so know that 10k isn't that much, but what I mean't was that for 10k they could hire someone like suggsy to do a few hours a week and come up with better ROMs....as an example.

Storage Options Unveils the Scroll Elite and Scroll Engage by RealWire http://goarticles.com/article/Storage-O ... e/6608157/

Paul Evison, head of brand for Storage Options commented: "We have been busy working to enhance and extend our tablet offering since the launch of the first Scroll around 18 months ago. We wanted to be able to offer our customers a range of devices of varying sizes, features and pricing options on the latest Android operating system and I think our offering is one of the strongest on the market in this respect. We now have four really great tablet models, the 7" Scroll Excel (which was rated as the Gadget Show's best budget tablet in November 2011), the new 8" Scroll Engage, the 9.7" Scroll Extreme and the new 9.7" Scroll Elite. The key for us has always been to provide good quality and powerful tablets at affordable prices, backed by an established, responsive UK-based support team and judging by our success it's a model that our customers seem to like."

edit: Storage Options don't have a sense of humour so I thought it best to remove this post, however I can say that in my opinion Storage Options is a terrible company and provide some of the worst support I have experienced.

@Piers

As I'm not into Libel myself, I couldn't possibly comment. :lol:
