hi trashcooky,received the charger today but doesn't fit (pin too big) so back to the drawing board,can;t find any specs which tells you what size power connector if i take it to an electronics shop do you think they would know,cheers.

I am sorry to hear this was the wrong charger.
The seller states this is for the Etab and your description is for an etab so you should have no trouble returning the item.
Does your tablet definitely match the pictures I posted ?
You could try taking the tablet to Maplins if you have one near you.

Patch, it is important that we definitely have identified the tablet correctly as your Etab appears to be among a minority of tablets which use a 9 volt output charger whereas most android devices use a 5 volt output charger.

If your recent purchase the connector was too large then I am guessing your tablet needs a 2.5mm post/pin plug as you have already tried too small and too big and to the best of my knowledge these type of connector are either 1.5 mm (Nokia) 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm.

Unfortunately, Like you, I can't find anything definitive so I'm about to see if I can find an E TAB iMAP210 800MHz 256MB 2GB 7″ 2.2 Black Tablet forum anywhere.

Just a thought - there are quite a few chargers about that come with a set of interchangeable tips, some also have adjustable voltages as well.

Does the legend on the tablet show the polarity of the plug ? the Illustration I found of the Etab did show this in diagrammatic form.

tried the nokia small pin which i think will be the 2.5 it fits but there was no visual signs of charging so i thinking you may be right about the 9 volt,will it be the 2.5x0.8 pin do you think,i have a universal charger with the smallest pin being a red tip it was just too big
