hi all
got my scroll a week again and its brillant but why does the accelerometer only work properly on a few apps???

if i was to upgrade to the 2.2 beta iv seen on this site will that make it work better???

firmware 1.02s with jit enabled and all the tweeks.

This is a bit of an odd one, but a known problem.

SO blame the software developers of the apps that dont display properly, and vice-versa.

The 2.2 version as it is doesnt cure the problem as far as I know (I may be wrong) but even if it did, it would cause issues in other areas.

There are various arguments going on with SO as to obtaining the correct files under GPL. In fact, I have requested them and passed them on to work colleagues who are directly responsible for writing the firmware for android handsets for major phone manufacturers and the general consensus seems to be "what a mess" or "there's bits missing".

SO will not budge on this issue and release the full files required under GPL so it seems we are stuck. My opinion is that they are acting as a dealer for a chinese tablet manufacturer who has no aftersales support.

so what files are required from SO to get a fully working 2.2 / 2.3 rom for the scroll, I dont no much about java/android but am very interested in learning about linux and learning abit about programming in linux and porting. Sorry if this is a noob question but im just interested in whats going on.
