Hi patch and welcome to the forum.

Unless you can get some sort of identity about the tablet you will find it difficult to find the right help.
Are you able to trickle charge the tablet through the usb socket if it has one.
If you can get it working then you might find some information by going in to settings/about tablet.

If you can do this then report back here what it says about the tablet.

If you have a lead which will plug into the tablet's usb port and your desktop PC or another USB supply source such as a USB camera charger etc - so long as the usb lead fits then there is every chance you can trickle charge the tablet back into life. You need to know though that although most tablets are not designed primarilay to be charged this way, they often can be. If is has two usb ports then use the slave port rather than the host port if they are both marked host then use either one but try both - you should get some sort of visual feedback to confirm when it is charging.

What information you have manged to get is useful and I will see what I can do with it.
It sounds like it is running a version of Gingerbread - yours is 2.2 the latest GB I believe is 2.3.5

This spec states no usb sockets so if the host sockets are hardwired then you may in fact not be able to charge the battery this way after all. However, looks like you can buy a charger here if you get there before it goes: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Power-Adap ... 27c69c2e78
