Overnight it appears that hackers defaced various Sky app entries in the Google Play store, and may in the process have also hacked the Sky Go, Sky+, SKY WiFi and Sky News apps. Therefore the most sensible option for Android users with a Sky app on their phone or tablet is to remove the app until official news is released by Sky.

Barry Collins of PC Pro highlights the possibility that the original call to uninstall the apps comes from the @SkyHelpTeam, but this may itself have been compromised.
