That is a brilliant finding. Like others, I have a multi-USB charger for a range of kit (including an unlocked Huawei E585 MiFi modem for when I'm on the road), so this is such good news! 500 milliamps should be enough to charge it overnight without a fight

Has anyone discovered if it matters whether you use the USB or the Host USB connection?

Cheers. I have it on test now (on USB not Host), but it was pretty well charged up before so I'm getting no real sign from the Battery icon. I'll discharge it later this evening and should get a more conclusive read-out then.
Advice much appreciated.

there are some great mods on here for getting better battery life - like removing the phone related apk's that run and drain the battery, when there is no need for them as the scroll can not be used as a phone.

Just tried mine with a nokia charger 5v dc-89mh but the little lightening flash didnt appear in the on screen battery symbol.Does anyone know of a usb charger suitable for the scroll. Also a mains charger with a longer lead would be useful.

try using the home charger suitable for the tomtom sat nav. Rated at around 1.2A whereas the standard charger is 2A. Tried mine and it charges ok

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!
