Hi I am new to this forum and hope I am posting in the right place forgive me if I am not, to the subject of my posting I have the opportunity to get hold of the new scroll 7" tablet 3.2 android capacitive screen.

I was sceptical of this guy as he seems a bit like a spammer, but a quick google does indeed show that there is indeed a 7" capacative scroll coming:

as long as it matches the price of the original scroll, i'm hooked.

- Guessing there'll still be no Market for it.
- Better CPU though, apparently - "1GHz, ARM11 Processor (Improvement over the standard Scroll, 25% performance improvement)"
- Not sure if to wait for an 8" version

That link states the launch date was 05/05/2011, but it's sold out/pre-order only on the sites I've found. Seems to be £170ish everywhere:

does anyone know whether the ARM11 in that is going to support flash? its definitely fast enough, which is the issue with the current scroll- only has a 720mhz cpu speed.

Does this give us any more hope about getting 2.3 on the current models?

possibly. if it uses the same telechips board, then i cant see why not.

Dabs updated their page to say they'll be in stock from Friday 13th May.

I'm going to be buying one of these on Fri. Shall be getting a refund on my current Scroll 8" from Amazon as the CMOS battery is faulty, so it's losing the time.

If this new scroll's ARM11 chip is a v6 like it is on the original 7" and 8" - then there will be no chance of getting flash 10.1+ to work on it.

IMHO - I think that this new scroll is the original 7" just with a new capacitive screen and the chip is still the same ARM11 v6 with a speed of 720mhz, over-clocked to 1GHz (the original 7" had a 720mhz cpu over-clocked to 800mhz) and of course, they have put 2.3 (most likely without an 'official' working market) on the device.
