Battery problem

Postby mikeplow1961 » February 11th, 2013, 3:18 pm

Hi, just purchased a scroll elite through Amazon for my daughter and it arrived today. My partner sent me a text to say it had arrived and I told her to unpack it and charge it. Five minutes later I get a text saying 'It says it's fully charged.

I get home and the unit won't start up. Plug it into the mains and it does, unplugged it won't. Check the battery stats and it says both 100 percent and 0 seconds available?

Needless to say, I have a five year old who has just spent all her birthday money on a tablet giving me much earache. Had a look at the storage option site which shows a link to new firmware, but no actual scroll elite firmware on the page it links to.

Unit is on
Model T05a
Android 4.0.3
Baseband 1.2
Kernel - 3.0.8+

Any ideas or is a return to seller?

Hi,

I would return it, there has been many issues like this with the elite tablet. I'm not sure what you paid for that tablet you have. But for £140 you can get a much better tablet that has a dual core processor with quad core gpu and bluetooth too.

Like this one for example --> http://www.ebuyer.com/432600-sumvision- ... ycvoy101bt

I paid 95 quid for it, labelled as new, fully working, from George and Freddie via Amazon. I've bought packaging damaged items from before and never had a problem but this has clearly not been tested to any real extent.

Thanks for the link to the Sumvision. I'll check out the reviews and maybe go for that.

Well getting it for £95 is a very good price, if it worked. Maybe it's worth a try to see if it can be fixed - get onto Storage Options support and see what they say.
