Boot Problems? Use Safe Mode

Postby Fonefixer » March 31st, 2011, 5:42 am

Thanks to member "Rammy" for pointing this out.

Your Scroll has a "safe mode" similar to that used in Windows.

In safe mode, your Scroll will not load any third-party software - the icons for them will also not appear in the app drawer. If an app is causing reboots / boot-loop or force-closing on boot you can enter safe mode and navigate to settings/applications/uninstall to remove it.

How to access safe mode

With your Scroll off, turn it on. Once the "Welcome" logo has changed to "Android" press and hold the "menu" hard button until the scroll bots up. You will then see "SAFE MODE" in the bottom left corner.
To exit safe mode simply turn your Scroll off and on again as normal.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!
