AVG app uninstalled or has it?

Hi Ive got the older SCROLL EXCEL 7" tablet 53715
I tried the AVG Free App which was ok but I decided I didn't need it seeing as I don't install apps on the tablet and just really use it to browse the internet when I'm too lazy to put the PC on.
I uninstalled it but when I reboot the tablet the WIFI Icon still turns green as if the AVG app is installed.
The WiFi icon was always white before so has it completely uninstalled ?
I know when I've had problems with AVG on a desktop PC and have to reinstall it I download their 'remover' to get rid of all traces of the program before I reinstall it.
Anyone else got the same thing happen and how to i get rid of it
thanks for any info/help

Hi cabbage, and welcome to the forum.
As far as I am aware (unless others know different) when the WIFI icon goes green (on Gingerbread 2.3 - on ICS it is Blue) is when data is being sent or recieved - at other times it is normally white.

I doubt that AVG had anything to do with it and particularly if you used the regular uninstall method.

I agree that does seem a mystery but I don't believe there is anything to worry about.
I can assure you the colour change usually signifies data is being sent or received over the WIFI service.

Perhaps someone else can confirm this is what they also experience.

The colour fills more green (or blue in my case 4 Jelly Bean) the stronger your wifi signal is being received.
