Very handy Android tool

Postby blueeagle69 » January 31st, 2012, 2:36 am

I don't know if anyone has used this, but I thought it's a very handy tool.

It's called Android Commander
http://androidcommander.com/

Allows you to manage files on your rooted device.
You can use ADB features such as Push,Pull,Install,Mount etc. All without entering a command-line.
Unless I'm mistaken you can use it to sign files too.

But remember guys, with power comes great responsibility :)

This is a great find @blueeagle69... I particularly like the drag and drop; and the ability to to push / pull multiple files. I can't see the Excel's internal and external sd partiton/drive yet, but I'm only just starting to explore.

@blueeagle69 - It appeals to my deep seated Windows sensibilities of having a decent 'GUI' and 'Drag and Drop'.

There must be more software around like this (mustn't there?) that'll make the shock of returning to command line interfaces a bit easier for us saddos who have been using Windows for longer than is good for us!

I'm amazed how you manage to find all the things you do... keep it up!

Far too much Googling mate lol.
I was planning to see what I can find, that is comparable to Android Commander.

@Fonefixer - mine got off to a bit of a shaky start...

After installing and detecting the Excel, the loading progress bar kept repeating itself over and over. It seems to have settled down now and I can push / pull single and multiple files between the Excel and my PC.

I've also opened up the command prompt... it seems to act like Terminal on the Excel. I can key in 'ls' to get a list of files. If I remember correctly, it starts with the '#', so that might mean it's in SU mode already. I haven't had the time to get my head around it yet, but it looks interesting.

I have no android driver installed and my pc says the google one isnt correct. I tried manually installing the inf file but it tells me incorrect method. Mind you, i do have hundreds of other special phone drivers on my pc. Might be a conflict
