If you go into Setting » System » Power Menu
You can add ScreenShot to the power menu.

Under Performance you can change the CPU frequency min/max.

Under Performance you can change the CPU frequency min/max.

Also, you get a secondry menu on/from using the power button for a selected reboot:
1. Reboot
2. Recovery
3. Bootloader

I had already tried setting my cpu to 1200 but it caused the system to freeze.
It has always worked best at 1008 across GB ICS and now JB.
So far on JB, among the pre-determined cpu profiles I have found the default <interactive> to be the smoothest.
Also under performance you can change memory management, my experiments with this led me to leave it on default of 18% zRam.
I have found slight improvements after ticking "Allow purging of Assets" and "Kernel same page merging"

Have you discovered the JB easter egg yet ? Go into about tablet and rapidly tap 3 or 4 times where it says:
Android Version
4.1.1
This will cause a large red static Jellybean to appear in the middle of the screen.
Do a long press on this red jellybean and you will be rewarded/plagued by a screen full of flickable floating Jellybeans.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

I ramped the Excel to 1200 but I'm not sure if that made the audio cut out eg. playing Lane Splitter
So now I've reduced the speed.

Also:
In Interface > System > Status Bar, under General "Signal Status style" can be set to "Hidden".

The Jellybean Easter egg supports multitouch, wonder is there a live wallpaper?

Currently using "Spectrum" as my live wallpaper.

When I hide Signal status it turns off the Cyanogen icon which shows when connected to PC with usb debugging turned on. text seems to be the same as icon ?

Jellybean live wallpaper here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... HliZWFuIl0.

Do you know if the "upgrade" to the Jelly Bean 4.1.1 firmware changes the maximum capacity supported by microSD Card from 32gig to higher capacities?

Alright,
So I took the plunge, I followed Trashcooky's instructions, however, cwm on my excel wouldn't let me boot into recovery, instead it just kept rebooting into JB. So I just installed the CM10, wiped cache, dalvik, battery stats, flashed mom9 then flashed the Gapps.
This let me install JB , however i've got to say after two days of messing about with it am going back to the custom iview ICS 407 I had before.
It just seems way too slow (browsing, opening apps and general navigation) and i've just noticed that it doesn't even show the emoticons on tatpatalk, instead they're just black boxes.

I have no idea but I strongly suspect not.

For anyone who has flashed CM10 JB and hasn't discovered it yet,
Google search can be quickly activated.
It can be accessed by pulling up from the softkey home button.

On the Nexus this has a different function:
Google Now is a key addition to Jelly Bean and appears the moment you open the Nexus from sleep mode.
It can also be accessed by pulling up from the device's home button.

The feature houses a number of dynamic "cards" each containing information the device feels is relevant to the user. This is based on information taken from users' Google account. Google Now offers Weather, Traffic Transit, Places, Flight, Sports, Currency and Translation cards.

@suggsy89.

Hi Suggsy, I am sure you have been watching us all rushing headlong into bedlam.
If you please can I have some questions I don't know how to deal with.

CM10 on the Excel seems fine if the tablet is lightly loaded (not too many apps installed)
Although I have plently of sdcard0 storage shown in storage stats I can't use most of this as when I start to fill it up the tablet grinds to a halt.
I have exactly the same stats as the guys on the Extreme, showing system used of 264Mb free 4Kb.
I assume this may be causing my problems ? My flashing order for CM10 was allwinner CM10 then Momo 9 Compatability and the Gapps which worked straight off.
I don't know how to increase my system partition but I see you made a ROM for the Extreme with a 400Mb system partition, robbing from storage which is great.

My questions are simple and direct:
1. can I use your Extreme rom to reflash & partition my Excel nand to give me a 400 Mb system partition?
2. If yes, can I then install allwinner CM10, compatability and Gapps over the top of this and still retain the 400Mb system partition?

3. If the answer to 1 and 2 are both No, please would you consider creating an Excel optimised JB ROM for us Excel guys?

Thanks Suggsy, hope you have the time. :D
