OK this is bizarre.

I put the CPIO file on my external SD card usign a card reader
Put it back into the excel, switched on, typed ls /mnt/extern_sd and it's empty.
But not when it's in the card reader

Aye - it should work - if I have put the right code in - I've had issues on the Apollo with stericsons rubbish, at least I could still boot.

I just tried to push the cpio file to /mnt/extern_sd

and got No space left on device again.

I know there is gigabytes of space on there

this is weird, I have no doubt that there is loads of space on the sd card,

try adb this any way

Code: Select all
adb shell /mnt/extern_sd/install-recovery.sh

Lets put recovery.cpio on /system

I will upload a new install-recovery.sh

i was going to make the zips and upload to dropbox but they are already their http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59133676/Exel-backups.zip
i can remame them and send them upagain but would take ages to upload a good few hours
so just download nandb nandc and nandd to a folder on your pc
they are zipped with 0 compression
you must put them on sd card one at a time and flash with update.zip on excel recovery

1) first rename nandb (which is boot) to update.zip put it on sd card insert into excel
and go to recovery and select update.zip
once done try to reboot normall
if nothing go to 2)
2) remove the first update.zip name it back to nandb
rename nandc to update.zip put on the sdcard insert and flash from recovery as before
repeat 2) for the data partition then try to reboot normaly
hopefully that should get you back to stock
