I'm having a few problems with mine so wanted to start with a factory reset. I spoke to customer support and they said to hold the volume plus with home pressed while powering on, this does not work and It was suggested I return to where I bought it from.

After some trial and error this is what you do, make sure power is plugged in, power off the tablet. Now keep the power and the settings key pressed, keep it pressed and it will eventually enter a screen were you can hard reset the device, use the volume controls to move up and down and the power key to accept the selection.

nice post i must of tried everything except that
you can do it without the charger plugged in but you should always be shure there is enough life in the tablet to do the reset

:x I had problems with mi scroll after re calibration. I could get the touch screen to open :( I had tried factory reset previously via the settings. That did nothing, when the tablet was rebooted i could not access the touch screen.
So I tried the manual reset, no change :x So, luckly i remembered to press the volume and on/off keys together for a few seconds. Then I was able select factory reset and erase user data. All my data had been backed up before hand. With other android tablets i don't have this headache.

I did a factory reset on my Excel. I ended up with two Scroll Excel's in Android Market. Don't know what happened there.

I seem to have 3 Scroll Excels in my Google play account. I can understand 2 of them as I did have 2 Excels at one time but the third one only seems to have appeared sinced I flashed suggsys ICS. I know you have flashed back and forth with yours so maybe this could be the reason. Possibly Google read the build number?
