The Perfect ICS 4.0.3 Image File for the Scroll Excel /Tablo

Postby rayhertford » April 20th, 2012, 8:43 pm

Hi All

I've been flashing and re-flashing various image files over the last couple of months on my Tablo but never found an image where everything was pefect, until now!

I've found an image file that is absolutly perfect, everything works fine. All lipsynch problems are gone. BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, YouTube, all the movie players all work perfectly, no audio lag at all. Google Navigation & map locations work fine, automatically detects locations from wifi SSID's. Gmail synch with calendar synch work fine.

TuneIn Radio can be downloaded and works fines. Truly full Android market place, selectable tablet ID, default is Samsung Galaxy SII, selectable overclocking - everything works perfectly, it makes the Tablo / Scroll Excel a fully useable tablet again.

Download the image here:-

After flashing the image file make sure to run the super user script to add in all the goodies and the full functionality.

ENJOY

Oh yes - So it is the one you have mentioned. Easy to get rid of the bloatware tho' (more or less) ;)

From that link page this is the file I used, there's nothing chinese in at all and it runs like a dream, it's not slow and seems to work fine. How can you see/detect this bloatware?

97F1-D1-H2-H01-N413.20120314* (4.0.3 latest version, recommend this one)
Download 97F1 (0.3MP camera) Firmware Here
*Note: has locked Market apps (my custom script does fix it, run it immediately after the firmware flash)"

Sorry i was on about this build....

4.0.3 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) Firmware (for 1.3MP camera models):
- 97F2-D1-H1-H02-1901.20120407 (latest build from Ployer)
- my Mediafire folder here
- these ICS firmware builds are not important to IVIEW owners because the models with 1.3MP camera were not re-branded for the IVIEW 760TPC versions that were sold in the USA.

Have you tried it? Its good ;)

@ Charlie

Oh no problem at all Sir lol
I rushed a build last night that blueeagle tested this morning
It wasnt quite finished but he did say that he prefered my current build

Hi All

Yes, I can confirm that 97F1-D1-H2-H01-N413.20120314 works really, really well, provided you run the superuser script afterwards. If you don't run the script, google location services are non-existent and the tab id is not changed to A Samsung Galaxy SII, so the market place isn't full and the tablet isn't rooted.

You would know if it had bloatware on it.

That script. most likely changes the build.prop, adds permissions files and removes the hard coded Chinese cell/mobile carrier info.

Post a link to the Script if you can, I would like to see if I am right or not, cheers

Hi Charlie

"You would know if it had bloatware on it."

I can't see anything chinese on it at all or anything which appears to bloating any memory etc.

It's the last item listed on that link page but here's the actual download URL
