excel ii working image anywhere ?

Trying to flash excel 2 but now stuck with a non working unit, live suit tells me an error on every image file i try to write to it, except ids10-CWM-a41_v1.1.15-08042013 this one writes but no display only white screen.

It starts the procedure 3mins left then after a second or two displays
The error is, Upgrade fails : 0x120 Ó²¼þʧ°Ü1

Ted, Oh dear - as far as I am aware there is no stock firmware available for the 55262.
I am puzzled and wonder:
1. being an Excel II it is a newish tablet probably came with ICS 4.0.4 so why did you feel the need to trash a fairly stable OS ?

2. What on earth did you flash as the image you describe with CWM in it is almost certainly not firmware but Clockwork Mod ?

3. If you want any chance of recovering your device you will probably have to see if you can find a compatible CM10 on
XDA developers wish you good luck and hope someone can let you have an original image.

Bugar, It was running terrible, out of the box, very slow and laggy, didn't know it was a newish version,

OK Ted, I do hope you find the right one OK
There is a firmware update for the Scroll Essential II on Storage Options site but this is a completely different model number. Unfortunately Storage options have had a habit of changing specs during a production run on their models so two or even three people with apparently the same tablet may have completely different insides and firmware. As far as I am aware (No Guarantees) the Essential II hardware is very similar to the Excel II so there may be an outside chance that if you are able to apply the Essential II firmware update you might get your tablet working again after a fashion - perhaps.......

The Essential II has a Boxchip A13 Cortex A8 1.2GHz whereas the Excel II has a Boxchip A10 Cortex A8 1.2GHz. Otherwise the basic hardware is virtually identical specification. However, the Cortex A13 chip does not support HDMI or SATA whereas the A10 chip does - so if you decide to try this firmware and it works - these two functionalities (HDMI and SATA) would be missing from your tablet.

This may take a while for you to download 20 minutes or so as the SO servers are slow.
When you have completed the download unzip the file and you will find an image inside named A13_86V_M758C1_1301191.20130410.img

Take note this image is NOT for the Excel II but it sounds like you have little to lose by giving it a go. I hope it is close enough at least to give you some degree of operation as this firmware is for capacitive touchscreen and I think there will be little difference between the touchscreen for these two tablets.

Try this completely at your own risk - I have no idea if it will be compatible with your tablet!

I have requested the firmware for the excel ii from storage options and have been sent a link to the file Scroll Excel II Firmware [2012-07-27].zip , which contains the file 97T3-D1-H1-H01-2508.20120726.img but I have been unable to install this on my scroll. I keep getting the 0x162 error when flashing with livesuit.

Tried the update but livesuit just sits at 0% doing nothing, tried ver 1.05 1.07 and 1.09, none come up with errors, just sit doing nothing.

what operating system have you got. this happens when I use livesuit on win7. I can only get it working on xp. phoenixsuit 1.0.6 however does work on win7 64 but if the firmware update does fail the error message is gibberish.

Xp does the same, From doing a lot of reading, the problem seems to be because i used cwm to flash the original incorrect image, this has done something to the way it handles the new image using livesuit or pheonix, Still not much further forward can't flash an image to it, but have learnt some things, "look before you leap" being one.

Manged to flash yarvik image, using pheonix, and xp, I'll try to put the scroll excel ii image on tomorrow and see how it goes.
