I was not surprised that there was an USB driver issue on both machines and I had to use my set of edited drivers to get this working, but I did not think that Livesuite 1.0.9 would be an issue as it seemed ok on the l/top.

Well now for the test to see if it will flash the tab' ok.

So Suggy's 4.0.3 had CWM??? and is it the same "hold menu button with power button" to access?

Thanks

I am not using Suggsy's 4.03. at the mo but yes CWM is built in - I seem to remember that it was menu and power buttons.
If volume + doesn't work then Menu definitely will.

Happy flashing.

UPDATE:
Flashed with Livesuite 1.0.9 on l/top - I had to use the "menu" button as the Vol+ did nothing to get Livesuite to acknowledge the tab'. As I already had the USB Drivers installed, I was prompted a selection, I selected "No" to the "full format" so a “Mandatory Format” should happen instead. - Bit hard to tell there as the English translation was not very clear.

Just started to boot up and got to a "Encryption unsuccessful" screen so just doing to do a factory reset as ICS recommends ( I am guessing this is due to not using a full format ????).

Updated to 4.0.4 via Suggy's CWM update zip and that is a great improvement on 4.0.3

I know this is an old thread but had to register to say how great this is.
I was going to throw my scroll excel in the bin (53715) as it was no good these days running 2.3 not even for facebook as it was just really slow, or take it apart just to see what was inside!
Then I came across this forum and upgraded to 4.3 then 4.4 using suggsys stuff.
Totally transformed the tablet to what storage options should have sold in the begining, I'm amazed.
Mostly using it to run XBMC plugged into my 42" tv to watch films and other stuff off the net
Turned my TV into a smart tv aswell
Cheers!!
I had a good mess with the 4.3 version and there was a good little app on which was removed on 4.4 - HD film app or something which streamed/played films on the net- really liked that
Only problem ive found is little usb keyboard no longer works - but i dont care about that!
thanks again

Pleased you found something worthwhile as most Excels are either obsolete or dead nowadays. ;)
