Installing movies

Hi everyone,

I have just purchased a scroll excel for my kids to watch movies on long flights and car journeys.

I was wondering because they have so many Disney DVDs is it possible to burn the DVD movies onto my desktop and then transfer onto a micro SD card or direct to the scroll or other storage device that can then be loaded onto the excel?

Also does it need to be any special format, if so which format and how would I convert the movie into this format?

Thank you in advance

Mark

You would need to use a dvd rip software to convert it to an appropriate format, AVI would do fine, you may want to convert it to xvid or something to save space.

I read Daroon Player will play DVD files without converting them. Not sure how it will handle your Disney ones though, as they are almost certainly copy-protected (if they're retail DVD's).

I use a program called FairUse Wizard 3D. It will rip DVDs straight to XVid. Its worked with most DVDs so far but not all (must be a copyright issue). Be warned though it takes hours to rip each dvd!

I use MakeMKV to rip DVD's and Handbrake to encode them to m4v (mp4)
