(Work In Progress)

Sorry if this has already been done....
This will be based on the work by the community, so all thanks goes to you guys
Im not sure how you guys feel about Jellybean so im just putting this out there

I am using what i believe is Christian Troys last build "cm10_a10_20120913"
I have not made any alterations to the ROM, i just wanted to get a base together and then dig deeper

System Partition size will be 400mb as standard
CWM Recovery will be built in
Google Apps will be built in
Minimal Apps will be included

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flash with Livesuit using the usual method.
Boot to CWM Recovery then do a full factory reset, reboot.
It may take some to boot - Approximately 5-10 minutes
This has a slight problem with the sdcard mounting wrong, fix coming shortly.

Hi Suggsy,
Well I flashed this tonight with full format to ensure nothing was left to interfere with the install.
Taking note of your long 1st boot warning after 25 mins I decided I must be in a boot-loop.
Booted into recovery and carried out a full wipe and reset which bought the tablet to life.

Early days for any precise comments about reliability and battery life etc but seems to working as expected.

There is a problem with the (nand) SD card which shows on boot as "preparing SD card" then gives an error of "Damaged SD card" tap on the "Damaged SD card" notice and get an option to format SD card, tap on OK to format, it then reports "SD card being checked" and then back to "Damaged SD card"

The df command lists the following
u0_a36@android:/ $ export PATH=/data/local/bin:$path
u0_a36@android:/ $ su
u0_a36@android:/ # df

Code: Select all
Filesystem            Size       Used         Free          Blksize
/dev                  153M        48k         153M          4096
/mnt/asec             153M        OK          153M          4096
/mnt/obb              153M        OK          153M          4096
/system               393M      318M           75M          4096
/data                   1G       219M         961M          4096
/cache                125M         4M         121M          4096
/storage/sdcard1       29G        17G          12G          16334

So I am currently uncertain as to whether this is a glitch in the OS/ROM or if some of my nand has given up the Ghost.
Any ideas or advice would be welcomed.

Cheers.

Yes i did have to do a full format and data wipe via CWM, im not 100% sure why
As with the sdcard i had the same message, i just took out the sdcard and put it back in, tested to make sure i have access and carried on.
Im happy with the outcome so far, ive noticed that only the front camera works at the moment, everything else seems okay.

How many cameras have you got on your Excel then? mines only got 1

I'm not having any trouble reading the external SD card and apps are installing OK on the internal, it is just that every time I boot up it insists on telling me that the SD card is damaged? I still get this even when I have no external SD card installed at all. Otherwise things seem to be working OK.

I just noticed something else to do with the internal SD - using apps to SD reports 0 space available so no apps can be moved because there is always insufficient space.?

The Excel does indeed have only one camera, damn im well off, its been a while
I think its something to do with the OS ive made some tweaks and i dont have any errors
Getting good benchmarks now too :) 3346 in antutu 1920 in quadrant, im not sure how these compare ?

Ive got 4.1.2 running on her now aswell, she is a beast, im glad i brought her back to life

Ive been messing with it all day, will now need to dump my build and make an update
