Any chance of SO updating to 4.0.4?

Postby Piers » May 11th, 2012, 6:56 am

I know it may sound like a joke thread but does anyone think a 4.0.4 update will be released? I know generally S.O. don't seem to do many firmware updates, but I know that tonne of stability issues have been addressed in the latest update.

I would ask them but it would be quicker to walk to their head office rather than wait for an email reply.

Was wondering this myself. However, from what I've seen on other posts, it looks like SO are more about shifting boxes than supporting exisiting builds, so I suspect we'll be waiting for a very long time.

Anyone on here able to it ?

Regards

Kevin

Give it time and I am sure it will appear here before it ever does at S.O.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

I asked S.O. about it, they said they have no plans at the moment. The really do seem to be in it for the money - they would rather send out a new device when it seems the vast majority of issues are down to 4.0.3.. A quick check on Google confirms that 0.3. is full of bugs and .4 fixes quite a few of them.

I would build 4.0.4 from source if i had the time to do so. I have been scouting the net to see if there is an image we can work on but nothing as yet.

Me too it wont be long i think until one or two of the inet tablet resellers will start to get the 4.0.4 upgrade and as the a10 and mali400 is stil being produced we should be able to port it
