Say you fly RC planes, have you seen tje RC plane app. Can be fun. I used to fly the real things, Cesna 170s, Piper P28 and P38. A very expensive hobby. I hope to do it again when i retire, but the way my pension plans are nose diving i may be left with no more than flight sims :(

That app is a bit of fun. Never flown real 'planes myself just helicopters (Bell Jet Rangers) not done that in a long time now tho' - I do think flight sims might be the way I will have to go too, saying that they can get get expensive if you want the best kit and get carried away.

Totally agree re building a good flight sim, but no way would I spent money beyond a joystick for the computer. Enjoy messing around with them but would rather put the money into the real thing.

Not flown rotary wing. I did fly a full motion Sea Lynx sim once, at a defence exhib. Was lucky to be exhibiting on a stand with my company, which meant we where not allowed to dismatle the stands until 2 hours after the exhib officially finished, but by lunch time on the last day all visitors where being wined and dined so the stands where empty of real visitors, and was lucky to be able to spend an hour playimf on it. Great fun, landing and taking off the Ark Royal, until a Harrier landed at the same time as I did

Wish id taken my log book I could have logged the hour, as the sim operator was a fully qualified instructor.

Wow real pilots on the forum! :D

Nice to hear from you both. That puts my little depron efforts to shame. lol Is that app on android? A quick Google seemed to show one by that name on iOS only. I couldn't find it in the play store, but then that may be me :)

RC Sims can be pretty expensive for the best. As I only make parkfylers my fleet doesn't cost too much to replace as long as the internals survive, but it's nice to have something for the rainy days and winter! With money being so tight I can't really justify spending too much, especially after buying my extreme. I'm glad I did though as it's been pretty much glued to my hands ever since.

Many thanks for the links. It's not half bad really. I can see myself wasting even more time on my extreme now :)

Chris.
