dead space up & running ,fullscreen & looks superb, plays as well as my sensation xe one which is infinitely more powerful a device

not a simple process, dropboxed the dead space apk from my sensation xe ,installed on tablet
then copied the dead space data folder from my sensation sd card,to pc,then copied back to tablet data folder
ran dead space - said this is not authorized on your device :-/ was originally purchased with my xperia play but I think it was a freebie that was only authorized for that actual phone - if i look on play store it still tries to charge me £4.65 on both sensation & tablet!!
downloaded lucky patcher from snappzmarket app,ran dead space through it,booted - very bad graphics corruption - unuseable
ran chainfire 3d,set options as unroll textures & gpu as qualcomm (this is to emulate the qualcomm adreno chip that is in both my sensation & xe play)
booted - works brilliantly!! shows how powerful the mali actually is - it can emulate an adreno & still push perfect frame rates

Sounds a complicated process but Ive had to do it before (had android phones right from the off 3 years ago) - I dont feel guilty using apk patches as most of the titles Ive bought legitimately on other devices - the whole idea behind the android system & the google play store is that youre free to download on as many devices as you wish - but its somewhat flawed - for example I was charged 3 times for shark dash - downloaded it on all 3 devices - still not had any kind of rrefund or even response from the play store from over a month ago

Seems like a good way of doing it, will have to try and borrow a phone it works on from a friend and test that out. That's the problem of now owning a mobile phone at all :P

Just bought the Pro version of Chainfire, still no luck on Dead Space but games seem to be running better after having a play with the options.

chainfire is a brilliant piece I software,I've even enabled 4xAA on dead space & it looks even better!
you can enable nvidia or Qualcomm drivers on most older games & it will make the graphics much sharper, fruit ninja is a good example of it working, also unroll textures works well on most games, with the tablet having 1gb of memory it has no problem running this option.
the problem with data download seems to affect most EA older games, tried real racing & it does the same again - NaN error or stays on 0%- loads of posts on google regarding these errors, its very widespread - will be trying the same process with thus one when I have time.
like you I too have ME Infiltrator running fine with no problems at all

Are the Dead Space downloadable files locked to the device/license? If not then I might have a look around for the files since I already purchased the game.

Mass Effect is awesome on the tablet though. Just saw your post on slatedroid - you are having an issue with the g-sensor?

not a problem per se,remember I have owned android devices from the off 3 years ago so have huge amounts of games purchased from the play store.
on a couple of titles (these are only 2 I've tried,I'd imagine there are loads more )
Cordy sky & Gt Racing Academy
cordy plays in portrait but g-sensor runs in landscape (so soon as you play the g-sensor picks up that its racing to the extreme right as the tablet is upright)
Gt racing vice versa, game is in landscape,g-sensor stuck in portrait
the g-sensor compatibilty option in the stock Rom & suggsys build sorted this & the option was hot swappable from app to app without any reboot or restart required, its always been missing from cm9 and has always been an annoyance for me - I like things to run perfectly even though its unlikely in the android world ;)
Btw - How on earth do you manage with no Moby phone??

regarding dead space or any other games, the installed apk is locked to the phone, data files are not
I'm not sure if there is a native Mali 400 gpu version of the game,I'm using the sensation data files (dead space expected a download of 462mb,these data files are only 356mb) whice are qualcomm adreno based - this is the most graphically enhanced version available I think, with chainfire plugins you should be able to use any data files I would imagine. there are 2 versions though ,north america & rest of world (chainfire will list your version properly with subfix na or row) you need the data files for the correct version you have installed

I think I saw something in the SD thread from Christian Troy about adding that in?

I actually decided to get rid of my mobile about 5 years a go and haven't looked back, people who want to talk to me call my landline. :P

I might need to ask you for a copy of those files
