No sorry i should have made it clearer.... you need to look in the compatibility 1.2x folder then look for the 907c file

Thanks I've tried the process many times but putting in writing is a lot harder checking and rechecking that what i've done is what i've written. Still, i suppose thats the beauty of the edit button

Thank you so much for your help so far.
OK doing great until I got to:
*Run CWM Recovery Script Scroll Extreme_TEST.bat from the 'Extreme CWM Recovery' RAR.
*Select option 1 and wait, it may take up to 2 hours to work.

Getting "error:device not found."

You can hear hear the usb sound when connecting the device and it was fine when flashing with live suit.
Guessing this is to do with usb drivers and I've tried all sorts - installing from device manager etc. Also guessing this mat have something to do with the dreaded ADB thing. I've looked at some youtube videos and call me slow but I'm not getting it, sadly.
How to I install the drivers?

I have to admit that since i installed PDAnet for Android i've not had to mess around with drivers maybe download that and give it a whirl.

Yay! That did it.... I'm in and writing this on the scroll. Can't thank you enough stubaldock for having the patience to guide me (and I'm sure others, since if you ignore the first half, it's a great guide to flashing a ROM); just needs the PDA.net bit adding IMHO.
