Jay, I'm sending my Elite back too. I bought it at Scan and it does the same weird things yours does.

It looks like we will both be standing the postage costs...

Just some basic quality control, like someone from S.O. pluging one in and using it would reveal the problems.
I know Chinese tablets are a minefield, but a UK importer should probably avoid making errors like this for the sake of it's rep.

Regarding the Touch screen interference I have noticed the same on my wifes Tablo when plugged in to the mains - I complained about it and was told it happens on all of them its not a fault - charging via USB doesnt cause the issue and to either charge by USB or not use it whilst charging. It even mentioned this in the Tablo instructions.

I have not experienced it on my Extreme but then I always charge that by USB as my charger is broken.

If anyone has problems with the touchscreen when plugged in to charge then try another charger. The types of screens these use rely on a small electrical field over the screen in order detect where a finger is placed. A low quality charger can cause this to be a bit iffy.

When I RMA'd one with SO they sent me a postage paid label for the return. That was a faulty item. You may need to pay if you were sending it back to EBuyer or Scan under the 7day Distance Selling Regulation rule though.

IIRC the cost of postage was about the £7 mark.

Is it worth editing build.prop to give the device a different fingerprint? Galaxy S or something?
