Shows how different people have varied tastes.

I much prefer the landscape view. I read books and newspapers, play scrabble and chess on my Extreme, all better in the "tall mode".

Sorry I found that confusing, please can you explain, thanks - You say landscape then refer to "tall mode" (ie Portrait) - Did you mean you prefer using your Extreme in portrait?

Cheers

+1 I found it confusing as well. For me a tablet is landscape and a phone is portrait, but each to their own.

Somewhat :) (But I'll continue to champion it as long as it remains the underdog ;) ).

But my point about the boot image is that it's visible for only 7 seconds. Seven :!: . Reach for your beer and you've missed it! Who cares whether it's portrait, landscape or a scene of puppies being tortured... it ain't there long enough to obsess over. (OK, I lied about the puppies... that would upset me  ).

At the same time you could also say that the tablet only crashes sometimes, so why bother updating it to a more stable build...

Okay, can we agree that, on a list of things that need to fixed or improved, the boot image is towards the bottom?

The design or orientation of the boot screen is a low priority and crashes are higher, but as the boot-screen is only or 7 sec's and crashes are "say" few and far between - both can be lived with, unless you are like most of the members on here that love to mod, tweak, upgrade & customise. For me it's my hobby/obsession.

I'm not against the balloons but Piers boot logo & orientation is far better and the colour suits ICS, and a green one would be great for users on the GB version Excel.

Saying all this - The balloons are far better than the 1st gen Scroll (Dec' 2010) that had a horrible font in tacky shadowed silver displaying the word "Welcome"

Well I'm sorry I cant.... It is an hideous NAFF photo, which I suspect was never taken by a photographer, but hacked up in PhotoShop by a chinless wonder who has no taste and flock wallpaper in his living room...... :x

..... ok only joking.... I agree, its not the worst thing about the Extreme.... Still a NAFF photo though ;)

Kevin
