I would do a full wipe, it didn't like it when I flashed it without doing that first.

Guys I can just feel the excitement :-)

Ok, I'm an old IT consultant. How old, well let's put it this way, if you want some COBOL, FORTRAN, PASCAL writing on old ICL or IBM mainframes I'm your man :geek: in my latter technical days, was Snr Consultant at Oracle and can develop some mean data interfaces using C and Pro*SQL, but these days I'm a Programme Manger with the technical nounce (on these new tablets) as a chimp.

Apreciate I can probaby find all this info on this site somewhere, but I'm bound to miss a crucial page, so a list of the links to read is really appreciaed.

So I'm likely to wait till you guys have tested the beta release, but anyone point me to some links of backround reading to get me up to speed on how to backup my factory build, what s/w tools I will need and how to go about installing this 4.0.4 build. Also, I assume most of the backup and flashing is done by connecting to a PC, if so what tools have to be installed on the PC etc....Told you I'm a muppet when it comes to technical stuff on these new fancy devices...

Really appreciated.....thanks.

Suggsy well done, your commitment to making the Extreme the tablet it should be will be put down in dispatches :ugeek:

Full marks for this. I cant believe the difference. No random reboots. Just works. Brilliant.

Looking good on my Tab so far. No issues, didn't do a data wipe, just cache.

OK, out of the box I sync my Google account. Email works. Log into "play" and get apps. Pretty soon Flash wants to update even though I don't have auto update on. Like in your face every time I go back to "GooglePlay". I haven't updated it because of reboot problem from before upgrade.

In benches CPU only shows 1 core is this correct ?

Also the About phone etc says Galaxy i9000

Great work suggsy89

Yeah its for spoofing the Market to get apps that are not compatible. Single core CPU so correct.
