I dont have the Extreme myself, but i think what you guys really need to do is a "logcat" (you may want to Google that) while loading bbc iplayer and while streaming, that then will tell you what issues there are, if any....
PS are you sure that you have Flash enabled in the browser?

As a comparison, try downloading the TED app. The video streaming is fine on standard but put it to high def and there are issues. If I click back and forth on the timebar the stream breaks down and freezes. Switching back to standard and all ok. Strange because hd starts off ok although not watched for more than 2 minutes so far ( I think some people had streaming issues after 10 mins or so).

Surfing the forum is rapid today. And that's with the default browser.

(Got a feeling its going to be a love/hate relationship).

Today I'm in love :-)

Looks like that Xoom has had a bump of sales and it has jumped up in price. Lol

Just went to comet and had a look at the Xoom 2. What a pleasant experience. Great camera. I think you can see what you are getting what you pay for when it comes to budget vs quality.

However, I hope I can stand my ground when I say that for under £190, there's a lot of value for investing in this tablet.

Plus if you have kids, there's less to worry about if you are letting them use. Especially my rough dinosaur loving 3 year old.

Still the thumbs up, although the feeling of Utopia has worn off.

Asus are going to be launching some budget ones soon too, not quite as budget as this but hopefully they will undercut a lot of last years tablets that have gone down in price.
I'll be using the Extreme as an entry to tablets and Android in general, to see whether I will want an Android phone on my next upgrade and whether I may want a better tablet at a later date. As much as there is a lot of Blackberry hate these days, their qwerty keyboard phones can top any touchscreen for ease of use, so I am undecided. More apps? Or better input?

Blackberry could be in even more trouble once the windows8 phones start hitting the shelves as a businesstool its got to be windows and us with android will have a battle on our hands when widows8 tablets start coming out
as for keyboard i use the rii2 for any serious typing via the otg cable it also works if i plug it in to my panasonic smart tv :)

Maybe I'll get one of those Android's with the slideout keyboard. Best of both worlds! Except most of them are pretty low-spec :(.
