iv also noticed the battery drain is very quick compared to the stock rom,i charged the tab to 100% 2 hours ago and now its down to 15% with very light use.
please dont think im moaning as im not as this rom is about a 1000% times better than the stock rom and i know it will only get better

I think the increased battery drain is something to do with the wifi, i cant quite work it out.

Try to use antutu cpu from the market to set the cpu to "ondemand" this will save some battery when its not in use or if your just browsing the web etc, you can also down-clock the cpu also.

yeh i used setcpu to do that and i also set it to airplane mode with the wifi on as i think airplane mode turns off a few of the phone apps which i thought could of been causing the battery drain.
any ide about whats causing the facebook app to keep fc when i try to do a status update?? and i dont pose i could edit the build prop so i could dl monopoly could i(kids driving me mad)

Beta 0.5 is online, currently syncing. Please read the release notes to fix flash player issue!

PS. As much as i detest "Facebook", it works fine, maybe a FC on initial start up, but its fine after that.

Apreciate I can probaby find all this info on this site somewhere, but I'm bound to miss a crucial page, so a list of the links to read is really appreciaed.

So I'm likely to wait till you guys have tested the beta release, but anyone point me to some links of backround reading to get me up to speed on how to backup my factory build, what s/w tools I will need and how to go about installing this 4.0.4 build. Also, I assume most of the backup and flashing is done by connecting to a PC, if so what tools have to be installed on the PC etc....Told you I'm a muppet when it comes to technical stuff on these new fancy devices...

KL, if you have a look at the thread I started, think it's in the top 10 on the main page still. (I've never flashed a rom before yesterday!), it seemed to cover everything that got me to where I am.

Clockworkmod seems to be the major one. Suggsy I think it was posted a link where to get it, and also the drivers needed for the extreme for the pc, oh and Adb.

I couldn't get on with livesuite (just didn't understand it), so I uninstalled that.!

Am sure someone with a lot more experience knowledge will correct me if I am wrong :D

Cheers whister, assume you mean this thread
scrolltabletforum.co.uk/site/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=2519

I'll start my background reading here, and by the time I'm ready to progress, I'm sure suggsy would have fixed the remaining issues you guys are finding for him. :D

Regards

Kevin

just tested out .5 - 'process.gapps' stopped and then Google Account Managed stopped on the first time setup screen. I tried flashing it twice.
