USB peripherals?

The spec list says this tablet has 2 x micro USB host ports for peripherals. What sort of peripherals could they possibly be? Also, is there an adapter that would allow regular USB devices to be attached? It would be nice to hook up a wireless gamepad.

Manual says 1. Mini USB (Connect to your computer via USB cable), 2. Host USB (Connect peripheral devices (e.g. keyboard, USB flash drive).

Supplied with Mini USB to USB (as per 1. above), USB adapter (to fit full size USB devices as per 2. above), Mini HDMI to HDMI and earphones.

Ok so testing so far: USB harddrives supported that work with 1.1 standard USB ports, externally powered USB 2.0 devices work fine, USB sound devices such as Snowball USB mic or USB headphone/mic - no joy at all.

USB game control pad's (controllers) work with PS and N64 and also the SNES emulators I have a cheap 5 pound usb game controller from GAME and it works perfectly with n64 emu and psx emu ! :) the snes emulator not so much luck with my controller didn't recognise the buttons for actions more down to lack of updates for use with ICS

I discovered that a USB mouse plugged in to the OTG adaptor works fine. Now you might wonder why anyone would want to use a mouse on a tablet but fat fingers and a shedload of hyper-links on a web page are one possible reason. That's my excuse anyway.

Has anyone found an Ethernet adaptor that can be plugged in to the OTG ? There are some Ethernet settings in settings page but it looks like it has to auto-detect the adaptor before you can use the settings.

I've come across USB - Ethernet adaptors but the issue here is what drivers are installed on the Extreme.

no offence to your Ethernet adaptor quest but it's going to be very rare anyone will even be looking for one considering the idea behind a tablet is wireless connectivity and on the fly accessibility... WiFi is pretty much the connection of choice for I am guessing about 99.5% of the entire Tablet community.

good luck with the hunt for an Ethernet adaptor thou..
