I have bought myself a zip up case as stop gap, but anyone know of where I might get a decent wallet style case.

Also screen protectors? I am reluctant to try cutting down an ipad one

Ta,

Hi,

sorry to jump on an old post but i would just like to say be careful when ordering your 'generic' 9.7" tablet screen protector from whatever source you find it as i've just tried to fit the said item only to find out it is way too small to cover the whole screen.
I'm not sure if i'm in the minority here but i would like a screen protector to cover the whole screen and not just the active part... i wouldn't buy anything less than an exact fit for my mobile :) so please check the overall size of the protector as most of them i find on the net only (just) cover the active portion of the tablets screen.

The size of most protectors i found are @ the 225mm x 170mm which is odd when the screen is @ 240mm x 185mm. Needless to say i may just opt for the Ipad verson and live with the pre cut hole :( at least its die cut to cover the whole screen.

Stu (not admin) :)

I bought Ipad screen protectors from Ibox on Amazon.

6 for £6 inc postage, a very good fit but the camera holes are in the wrong place, not a problem though. I kept the plastic protector it came with on till I fitted the new one which is considerably thinner.

I've ordered an Ipad case with stand for £12. When it arrives I'll post my views on it.

Hi DB,

Being a new Excel owner I got a padded case from ebay which incorporates a USB keyboard - it comes in one that also fits the Extreme - not sure if its what you are after but mine was £12.50 and I think the one for the extreme was around £17 - nice case keyboard works a dream too - if so let me know and I will look out the seller (UK).

Post a link, as I would like to see this.

Theones I have seen so far, I haven't been too impressed with, so I went for a standar iPad wallet case. does the job well, had to put a few more holes in for camera, earphone and mains jacks, but it does the job.

I saw that one. I also saw a review thapt said they had to put velcro on the back of the tablet to stop it slipping, which is why I decided against it.

is that true or is it a good fit ?

by the way mine is not that swish, plastic leather (if you know what I mean :-) ). But it does the job, and diesnt look to bad.

As for screen protectors I'm still using the protective film that was on it when delivered. I have an iPad screen protector (with holes), which I had in a pack of 3. Used one on the first Extreme I had and it was fine. However before "wasting" another, decided I would wait to check my replacement Extreme eas Ok before I fitted it, but in no rush at the moment, as the packaging screen cover is doing a great job.

For my Excel its great - it has top and bottom holders but doesnt move sideways so its nice and secure.

For me the keyboard was the hook.

Like you I still have the protective film on from new.

All the best
