A Question of App Sharing......

Hi,

I've yet to get my hands on my Extreme as its still on order :( but whilst i wait for it I am reading all posts relating to this tablet lol.

My question is this: I have an HTC Desire running Gingerbread (not that it makes any difference) but all my fave apps are stored on it. If I found it a problem finding said apps to d/l to my tablet could i use the app share facility on my moby to transfer the app to the tablet???? There are a number of ways to share apps on the HTC even after ruling out bluetooth and i was wondering if it is do-able or not?

Are there compatibility issues?

I expect that 'paid for' apps may be a no no due to licenses but just wondered if the free ones are able to be shared?

Hey suggsy89,

Thanks for the reply :) do you know if bought Apps are bound to 1 device or does the license sit with the gmail account holder making that transferable too?

Most paid apps are tied to the same gmail account and can be used on any device using the same gmail a/c - There are some apps that require it to be purchased for each device it is used on regardless of it being the same gmail a/c (tho' this is rare, well in my experience anyway) - This is for doing it the right way and supporting devs for their hard work.

Once you have paid for an app, it can be downloaded countless amounts of times to any device registered to your Google account ;)

oh ok, well the apps i have actually paid for amount to a few quid so rebuying them isn't an issue. What form of transfer do you suggest being the most favorite? you can do it by barcode, email, msg to name a few????
