Some apps can run in full screen mode.
Issue with some games, like graphical glitches.
Issue with lockscreen not showing some times.
    Superuser app has issues.

    Camera works now without errors

Update 12/05/2012 - Beta 0.3

I dont know if this will be as stable, initial test seems good after loading all my data back.

Wow Suggsy this sounds a great work in progress, you sure put some work in.

Will the end product be usable by Android newbies like myself?

Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure on this but I would think it will use LiveSuit to update, that takes around a minute to flash the Extreme (test on mine with another ROM) and is maybe 3 or 4 clicks and a cable connect, but this forum is full of helpful people so if you get stuck i'm sure someone will be around to help out.

I will probably try to make a livesuit image as its simple enough to use. Just testing some more things.

This is brilliant.

Will wait till stable as not sure my rusty tech experience is up to flasing this yet without bricking my tab, which will leave me bricking it :-)

When stable, will need pointers on backing up and how to upgrade to 4.0.4.

Well done Suggsy...

Regards

Kevin

After 2 nights of hard work, 3 builds later and corrupting my initial build in the proccess Beta_0.1 is now online.
It's a livesuit image, download link in first post.
It's syncing at the moment.
Initial boot time maybe upto 10 minutes.

Hardware
System
- CPU: Working
( Underclocked to 1Ghz, however MFLOPS on the CPU now shows 23.2 compared with 22.1 on the S.O. ROM - more stable and powerful.)
- GPU: Working
(around 1-10fps higher)
- RAM: Working

Storage
- Onboard: Working
- SD: Working
- MNT: Working

Audio & Video
- Camera: As you said it doesn't work, but it does reboot the device nicely lol
- Sound: Working
(DSP included in ROM)

Buttons
- VOL-: Not Working
- VOL+: Working
- Power: Working
- Back: Working

Connectivity
- WIFI: Working
(slightly faster connection - less lag)

Ports
- USB1: Not Tested
- USB2: Working
- HDMI: Working
(tested 480, 720 and 1080 video + games)

Software
Apps - all tested for at least five minutes
- Google Play: Working
- BBC iPlayer (using browser): Working
(near perfect, no lag or skips although doesn't like pausing)
- Angry Birds: Working
- Stock Browser: Working
(much smoother, no lag)
- Google Earth: Working
(much smoother, less lag)
- Official YouTube app: Working

Games - all tested for at least five minutes
- (3D) Shadowgun: Working
(Lagfree - great FPS)
- (3D) SummitX Snowboarding: Slightly smoother
- EA GAMES: NOW Working
(I tested the Sims Freeplay which previously gave errors and wouldnt work, however it's downloading now with no errors at all.)

Notes
- The ROM still includes most phone options
- The ROM still includes most bluetooth options
- According to the battery meter I have 3 minutes of battery remaining on a full charge!
- WIFI downloading seems much faster, getting 40mbps from speedtest.net (on a 100mbps line)

Downside
- Battery. This may be due to running StabilityTest and flashing 2 ROM's but the battery has gone from 100% when installed to now 19%. I doubt it is accurate so will see.

Stability Test Results
- CPU Runs: 13
- RAM Runs: 112
- Time until freeze: 22 minutes
(This compared with 30 seconds on the S.O. ROM. Remember that StabilityTest pushes the tablet much harder compared to everyday apps or uses, 22 is running the CPU at full power and load for that period of time, no apps really do that)

I will continue to edit this post as I test more things.

My Opinion on 4.0.4

If suggsy89's finished ROM is as good as this one then I honestly believe that the hardware + 4.0.4 = a fantastic value for money product. I have complained as the Scroll Extreme felt like an unfinished product before. I know a lot of issues have been fixed in 4.0.4 and it really shows. There are not really any new features, however it feels like a final build.

*IF* the testing reveals no other issues then I would be more than happy to say this tablet is value for money. I used to have an iPad 2 and 4.0.4 + S.E. compares in both performance and, obviously, looks.
